On November 19th, the late Larry Sartory was inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame. A long time leader in the Palm Beach County business community, Mr. Sartory was also the chief catalyst behind the founding of Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches some 25 years ago.

Through his efforts and those of his colleagues, the Palm Beach Convention Center, the Business Development Board, and Leadership Palm Beach County all came into being. Active in many philanthropic efforts, such as the United Way and the Jaycees, Mr. Sartory was also a past president of the Rotary Club of West Palm Beach. During his tenure as President, Larry Sartory learned about Junior Achievement and made a commitment to bring the program to our area.

The induction ceremony took place during the quarterly luncheon of the Business Development Board. Representing the Sartory Family, Rick Sartory accepted the plaque and challenged the audience to emulate his late father’s commitment to give back to the community.

Rick Sartory, son of the late Larry Sartory, accepts the Hall of Fame award Kelly Smallridge, President of the Business Development Board and Bryce Sartory, grandson of Larry Sartory
